PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP, stakeholders in all political wards of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, have resolved to bridge the information gap between the state government and Deltans with a view to informing the people of the state of the achievements of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration since assuming office in 2015.

At a meeting hosted by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Relations, Mr. Peter Idion, the stakeholders said the resolution was necessitated by the gross misinformation on the developmental strides of Governor Okowa across the 25 local government areas in the state.
Speaking through the “Bridge Builders,” a group made up of three former chairmen of Ika South Local Government Area of the state and other stakeholders from all political wards in the area, they lamented that increasing misinformation on the achievements of the current government in the state was unhealthy.
Chairman of the group, Chuks Emuebie, condemned the attacks and blackmail of the government especially over the local government salaries, contending that payment of council workers salaries was not the responsibility of the state government.
