PORT HARCOURT— MOTHER of the Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Petroleum, Mrs Felicia Kpako, who was kidnapped two weeks ago, has regained her freedom.
Confirming Mrs Kpako’s release, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mrs Rita Inoma- Abbey said she was released yesterday, adding that she was in a hospital, where she is undergoing medical check up.
The police spokesperson also confirmed the release of Mrs Chigozie Ogbonna, who was kidnapped a week ago around Afam bush in the state.
The rising incidence of abduction in the state has become a thing of worry to residents of the state. The PPRO, it will be recalled had said recently that police had discovered that some of the abductions were arranged by the victims. She said the police would soon make its investigations public.
