By Peter Duru

MAKURDI— No fewer than 200 staff of the moribund Taraku Oil Mills have tendered their resignation en-masse after four and half years of non-payments of their salaries and other entitlements by the management of the company.

They urged the state government to, as a matter of urgency, commence the payment of their salary arrears totaling over N1 billion “because we are on the verge of extinction”.

Addressing newsmen on their ordeal, the workers led by union leaders, Lazarus Tsaga, FOBTOB SSA Chairman, Taraku Mills Branch, Terzungwe Anyam; Secretary, Andrew Agber, NUFBTE, Taraku Mills Branch Chairman, and Mike Ogbole, Secretary, explained that they were forced to resign in order to save them the harrowing experience of the past years
