Golden penny noodles from the stable of Golden Pasta Company Limited has been awarded the Nigerian Mark of Quality award having passed the Nigerian Industrial Standard Manufacturer’s Conformity Assessment Program (NIS MANCAP) test, as it introduces two more flavours.
Speaking, Yannis Katsichtis, General Manager/Director Golden Pasta company Limited who said the company will be unveiling two additional products; Curry and Barbacue, explained that the certification from Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) is a testimony of the quality of the company’s products.
Corroborating, Mr. Paul Gbededo, Director, Golden Pasta, representing the Group Managing Director said the award is coming to the Brand that started production barely a year ago is an attestation to the promise of quality Icon carried by all Golden Penny Products.
By this award Gbededo said that Golden Penny noodles has been certified a quality product and is thus conferred the right to use the NIS MANCAP logo on all its noodles variants Chicken (70gms & 120gms) and Chicken Onion (70gms), he explained to Journalists.
Gbededo said that the noodles like other flour mills products will carry the promise pf quality icon, he said.
In addition, Mr. Agboola Afolayan, Head, Lagos office1 of SON representing Dr John Akanya, Director General, while presenting the certificate said that this is the beginning of the effort of the company, stressing that by the award Nigerians are given the assurance that the existing products of Chicken and Onion noodles.
Further, Afolayan stated that SON will continue to monitor the activities of the company, since their products are health concerned brands, he noted.
