PORT HARCOURT— MINISTER of Transportation, Mr Chibuike Amaechi has said that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has no document linking him with corruption as he alleged in several newspaper publications.
Amaechi, who was former governor of the state in a statement yesterday, again accused Wike of allegedly forging documents to rope him with corruption charges, insisting he will fail.

Wike and Amaechi
Amaechi and Wike have been engaged in war of words in the last few days over the authenticity of documents against the former governor over corruption-related issues.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Government, yesterday, maintained its earlier position that the state government has enough evidence of alleged corruption against the former governor.
Media aide to the governor, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu in a statement, said “Our position remains the same. We have enough evidence against Amaechi.”
Amaechi in his statement by his media team, said Wike has absolutely nothing concrete to press his corruption charges.
The statement said, “Wike has nothing, we mean absolutely nothing concrete to prove his fabricated claims. However, we are aware, as a matter of fact, it’s now public knowledge that Wike has been forging and distorting a cache of documents in his increasingly frantic efforts to denigrate Amaechi. This forgery and contortion commenced immediately Wike assumed office as governor and it is on-going.
“Nigerians were shocked a few days back when Livingstone Wechie, the young man Wike used to accuse Amaechi of corruption and writing false and frivolous petitions to the National Assembly, EFCC etc, confessed openly, that all the documents he used to wrongfully portray Amaechi as corrupt when he governed Rivers State, were phonies, forged documents given to him by Wike’s Rivers State Government House.
