Oshiomhole commends Bini monarch

By Simon Ebegbulem
BENIN—GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has commended the Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa, for his support to the state government, in its effort to transform the fortunes of the state.

The Governor, in a congratulatory message  to the monarch on his birthday, yesterday, said,  “we thank God for your life and for the immense good that has been showered on our state in your reign as our father.

“For me, it is always reassuring knowing that you remain consistent in your support to our efforts to transform Edo State and bring peace, prosperity and security to our people. With your staunch support, we have forged the political will to deliver on the aspirations of Edo State, which you have relentlessly canvassed as our royal father.

“We are proud of you and we all delight in the respectability, which you attract to our state. I have on many occasions been regaled with the very positive and lasting impression you affect on visitors to the state.

Only yesterday, an enthralled Mr. Moshe Ram, the Israeli Ambassador, shared with me the pleasure he derived from the passion, deep insights and refreshing perspective Your Majesty stamped on key national and global governance issues, which you raised when he visited your palace,” he added.

“I wish to reassure Your Majesty of our continuing commitment to the visions and values that you have always shared with me. Under your fatherly guidance and with your inspiration, Edo State will be restored to the glory destined for its people.”

The Governor prayed God to continue to strengthen the Oba so that his reign will be long on the throne.
