Enugu- based lawyer Richard Obienu has been very critical of the Nigeria Football Association, NFA.. Before now, he  faulted the employment of Super Eagles coach Lars  Lagerback and said Nigeria  made the greatest mistake in the history of the country in hiring the Swede .

His words went  unheeded and last Thursdays his words came to fruition when Nigeria lost to Greece in the their  second group B game after losing to Argentina in the opening game.

The former Vice Chairman of the NFA said  the former  coach of Sweden has nothing to offer and Lagerback proved him right in South Africa where he failed to show understanding of the Eagles.

According to him, Lagerback has no idea on how to tinker the team.“Like I usually say, I want to be proven wrong  in South Africa. It is very clear that we are reaping from the bad seed that we have sown. World Cup is never a child’s play, that is what our administrators failed to understand, but they employed somebody who is clearly  ‘fake’.

“What can a man who was employed barely three months to the World Cup do to a team he does not know anything about. He said he could do it but it has just dawned on Nigeria that he is fake and knows nothing.

“We failed to  prepare and we are paying the price. We have bad administrators who know only how to enrich their pockets without considering the interest of the nation. There is no hope anymore we  have failed and  should come back home and plan for the next World Cup,” he concluded.
