Abuja – Presidential spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu, will deliver the 10th Jackson’s annual lecture of the Distinguished Alumni of the department of Mass Communication, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu state.
The Jackson Annual Lecture (JAL) series for this year will dwell on the threat or otherwise posed by the new (social) media to the traditional media of communication.

The lecture will take place at the Nsukka Campus of the university, on Friday, at 10am prompt.
A statement issued from the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity in Abuja on Wednesday, confirmed this development, adding that the presidential aide would also be honoured with an award of excellence at the event.
NAN gathered that the Jackson’s lecture series was instituted by the leading school of communication, the Department of Mass Communication, UNN, to promote topical issues and emerging trends in the field of mass communication.
Prince Tony Momoh, former minister of Information and Culture, delivered the first Jackson’s lecture series in 2007, entitled; “Reminiscence and Projections: The Proposals of Men and the Disposals of Men”.
The second was held in 2008, with the title “Challenges in Nigerian Advertising”, delivered by the Chief Executive Officer of Zus Bureau, Christopher Doghujde, a frontline advertising practitioner.
