UGHELLI— LAWMAKER representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu federal constituency, Delta State, in the House of Representatives, Mr. Solomon Ahwinahwi, has presented his scorecard to his constituents with a vow to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
The lawmaker also used the event which was held in Ughelli, Delta State, to empower 265 constituents with items such as tricycles, sewing machines and milling machines under his Cash Transfer Programme which he said will capture more youths and women engaged in petty trading with financial needs for their business.
Speaking at the well attended ceremony, Ahwinawhi said: “My legislative work in the House of Representatives include a bill for an act to amend the National Shipping Policy Act and a bill for an act to amend the Nigerian Institute of Taxation Act.”

On his contribution to the 2016 budget, he said: “My office has also attracted the construction of a primary healthcare centre to Erhuwharen in Ughelli South LGA which is ongoing.”
Others according to him are “The installation of a 300KVA transformer at Akphere Olomu in Ughelli North LGA which is completed and a post seasonal intervention training programme on agriculture for 60 youths and women in Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu council areas.”
Listing the budgets he facilitated for the constituency in the 2016 NDDC budget, the lawmaker said: “In the 2016 NDDC budget, the construction of Orhuwhorun/Owhrode road in Udu LGA, construction of Esiso Street, Onome Okpailefe, Okun Street, Ekrerhavwen, Ugwrughelli road in Agbarho, construction of internal road at Okwagbe and Street lights at Market/Ovie palace road, Agbarho.”
Also speaking at the event, Senator Dino Melaye applauded Ahwinahwi’ gesture saying “Empowerment is not just natural but a spiritual thing because the Holy Book says, once you have done this to people, the Lord almighty says you have done this to him.”
