The governor said the masts mounted indiscriminately around residential houses were threats to health of residents.

He  appealed for support of Rivers lawmakers in the House of Representatives for his administration,  saying they should drop party differences and work for the common good of the state.

He said: “The way these companies  install masts near homes will definitely have health  implications.”

I support the investigation by the house to change the situation.”

Chairman of the ad-hoc committee, Mr Ekanem said they were in the state to see the extent of compliance with the location of the masts, even as, he commended Hovernor Wike for the success of his government so far.
