As Nigeria get set to lock horns with Argentina in her opening game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup today in Johannesburg, South Africa, former Super Eagles player Benedict Iroha has warned that it is not  going to be  a easy outing  for both teams.

Iroha, a member of the USA’94 squad who sees both teams as the strongest in their group, said predicting the winner of the match would be very difficult especially as there is no easy team again.

“It  is not  going to be easy  especially with the fact that it involves two strong countries. All the Eagles should do is to take every match serious.

There is no easy team anymore, Argentina is strong, the Koreans and Greeks are equally strong. But like I said, I don’t under estimate what Nigeria  can do. We know  we have good players but the only thing is that they did not play together enough but we should not under estimate them,” he said

“Though  preparation was not truly the best but I know that some thing  good will come out and they will surprise the world. The game against  Saudi Arabia was not impressive enough but against Columbia, it just showed how far we could go in the World Cup.

This country is so blessed with a rich pool of talents and I believe they can do exploits, especially with the inclusion of some  youngsters.  I must confess Lagerback did a good job,” he said.

He however, urged the team to be more  serious with their  games as he believes anything done in the group will tell how far the team can go.

“First game is very crucial, if we lose the game, it may affect us. They have to do everything  possible to get something out of it,” he advised.
