BENIN—SATISFIED with the developmental efforts of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, hundreds of youths under the aegis of Network for Good Governance, weekend, thronged the streets, appealing to the Governor to run for a second term.
The youths said, “we have not seen it so good in the state in the past 20 years. Anybody that comes to Benin today will not know that it is that modern city any more. There are jobs, on-going in the three senatorial districts unlike before when the Governors would tell us that there was no money in the state coffers for development.â€
The leader of the youths, Mr Ejike Ezobi, said they are appealing to the Governor because there were rumours that the Governor may not be willing to run for a second tenure.
