Christians worldwide, last Sunday, marked Easter in commemoration of the resurrect-ion of the Lord Jesus Christ that brought salvation to mankind.
As part of the celebration, Apostolic Faith Church headquarters for West and Central Africa (WECA) in Anthony Village, Lagos on held its traditional Easter Musical Concert.

The church known for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through prayers, preaching and publishing tagged this year Easter concert as: “Lamb of God”.
At the concert, the Orchestra Choir of the Apostolic Faith Church treated guests to brilliant performances of classical songs from the Messiah’s ‘Hallelujah’ and local pieces, Symphony Orchestra, and other sacred music from the masters all meant to highlight the essence and reason for the season.
The orchestra described as the largest in Africa played different sophisticated music with instruments like pipe organ, grand piano, saxophones, flutes, harps, trumpets, violins, violas, tubas, cello, double bass, and many others.
For about two and half hours, the orchestra choir treated guests to the best of golden tunes accompanied by soul-lifting sounds from keyboards, wood wind, brass, percussion and voice in their varieties which comprised of soprano, treble, alto, tenor and base.
Some of the songs rendered included, Behold the lamb of God, Surely He has borne our grief, Down by the river tide, The resurrection morn, Hosanna S’omo Dafidi and several others.
The District Superintendent, West and Central Africa headquarters, Rev. Bayo Adeniran said that the Easter musical concert is one of the several programmes organised by the church to remind the people about the second coming of Jesus Christ and stress the need for people to live Godly lives.
Adeniran ceased the opportunity to call on Nigerians to return to God, live sacrificial lives and be committed in ensuring that corruption becomes a thing of past in the country.
“When we look at Jesus Christ, we will see how man can live a life of holiness, a life that is pleasing to God and a life that is a blessing to all men and one self. Christians should take their holy life beyond the four walls of the church”, he stressed.
