Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has expressed sadness over the cancellation of Monday’s friendly game against Burkina Faso in London.

The Eagles played 1-1 with Senegal on March 23, but couldn’t play against Burkina Faso in their second friendly game due to visa problems for the French-speaking country.
In spite the cancellation, Troost-Ekong who played 90 minutes against Senegal, however, stated that it was a memorable international week for the Super Eagles.
“Great international week with the team. Gutted our second game yesterday was cancelled.
“Always proud to wear the green -white -green colour,” Troost-Ekong wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
Following the cancellation of the friendly game against Burkina Faso, there was a closed -door friendly on Monday between two teams, “A” and “B” formed from the Super Eagles squad at the Hive Stadium.
The game ended 1-1 with Kelechi Iheanacho scoring for Team A, while Olanrewaju Kayode was on target for Team B.
The players, who featured for Team A, included Ogenyi Onazi, Leon Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina (Chelsea), Elderson Echiejile and Daniel Akpeyi.
The players that made up Team B were Kenneth Omeruo, Tyronne Ebuehi, Chidozie Awaziem, Juwon Oshaniwa, Isaac Success, Ebere Eze (QPR), Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Shehu Abdullahi.
