FORMER Head of Interim National Government [ING], Chief Ernest Shonekan, has lamented the deterioration in public administration in the country and charged all political office seekers in the forthcoming general elections to compete with ideas and issues that would move the nation forward.
Speaking in Abeokuta at a book presentation titled “ Politics, Public Administration and Economic Development in Nigerian†written by Chief Babatunde Adeyanju, Chief Shonekan said that the time had come for the nation’s politicians to stop playing politics of desperation in their bid to assume political power.
