ABRAKA—THE Ethiope East Elite Movement, a pressure group in Delta State, has insisted that the House of Representatives seat for Ethiope Federal Constituency should be given to Mr Sunny Emeyese, the Majority Leader, Delta State House of Assembly.
At a meeting of the group in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area, the Chairman, Mr. Anthony Isenihwe, told members that the decision to present Mr Emeyese for the House of Representatives was because the constituency needs a vibrant personality, who has been in the system and can attract development to the area.
He said the group was not against any contestant gunning for the position, but that it resolved to work assiduously for Emeyese after having sampled the views of various groups in Ethiope East and West and seen that their choice remained Mr Emeyese.
The secretary of the group, Mr Anthony Obieh and the spokesmen, O. Atavwoda, explained that the group will do all within its power to ensure that Mr Emeyese represents Ethiope Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, come 2011 general elections.
