The Federal Government yesterday appointed two new directors for the Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB.

The appointment is contained in a statement by AIB spokesman Mr Tunji Oketunbi.

The new appointees are Engr. Hashimu Ilyasu Wali for Engineering and Capt. Dayyabu Mustapha Danraka for Operations.

The appointments are with immediate effect.

Capt. Danraka was the Bureau’s General Manager, Operations, while Engr. Wali was an Aviation Safety Inspector with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.

The statement said the appointments followed the expiration of the tenures of former Director of Engineering, Engr. Emmanuel Diala and Director of Operations, Capt. Yusuf Lawal.

It quoted the the AIB Commissioner/CEO, Engr. Akin Olateru as appreciating  the former directors for their “invaluable services to the Bureau” and wished them success in their future endeavours.
