Lokoja – Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi on Wednesday, signed the state’s N 174.7 billion 2017 Appropriation Bill into law in his office.

Tagged “Budget of New Direction”, the budget is made of N81.6 billion recurrent expenditure and N93.1 billion capital expenditure and N75 billion higher than that of 2016 budget put at N99.998 billion.

In a brief remark, the governor urged corporate organisations and individuals to fulfill their tax obligations for the budget to achieve its targets.

He promised to adhere to the budget’s planning and framework to attain 99 per cent implementation and success.

Bello expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the state House of Assembly for their unity of purpose which he said culminated in the speedy passage of the budget.
