LOKOJA—Wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs. Rashida Bello, has called on the people of Ondo State to support Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to fulfill his campaign promises.

Mrs Bello said the support for the new executive governor will give him the strength to move the state forward in good time.

According to a statement, yesterday, in Lokoja by Mrs. Bello’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mrs. Olamide Adesoro, the Kogi First Lady noted that Chief Akeredolu’s victory was not just for All Progressive Congress, APC, alone but victory for democracy.

She said: “This victory is not for APC or Owo or even Ondo State alone. It is a victory for change in Nigeria. I also congratulate and welcome the new First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, on board the change agenda train of Mrs. Aisha Buhari.

“While looking forward to working with the wife of the newly-elected governor towards empowering Kogi women in their number, who resides in the neighbouring Ondo State, to enable them occupy their rightful position on the economic ladder in the society.”
