MEN of the Delta state police command are presently investigating the circumstances that led to the killing of  two men in Asaba, who were later buried in a shallow grave.
The shocking incident similar to the recent strange dumping of five corpses in the Abia State occurred along the Asaba-Benin highway.
According to State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Charles Muka, “Delta police command has exhumed two unidentified corpses in Asaba.”
A building contractor (names withheld) reported that he visited a project site along Benin-Asaba expressway and noticed two heaps of sand like graves and traces of blood as well as damage to the front iron door.
“He (contractor) added that all efforts to get the security man proved abortive as the site was desertedâ€, adding that “when the bodies were eventually exhumed, there were signs of stabbing on the bodiesâ€.
The PPRO further said that the “State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has swung into action while efforts are on to trace the perpetrators of the act. The two corpses are deposited at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) mortuary and members of the public looking for their missing relations are advised to check the mortuary for possible identificationâ€.
