Rivers election: There is an uneasy calm in every part of Rivers State, as residents await the commencement of voting in the national and state legislative polls rerun.

The election was officially scheduled to commence at 9a.m, but as at the time of this update, 9:09, electoral materials are yet to arrive voting centres.

Materials for the election have not arrived the polling unit 14 of the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike AmaechI and unit 16, Celestine Omehia’s, former governor of the state, ward 8, Ikwerre LGA .

But, people are seen erecting canopies as crowd of youths, and armed security men are clustered at the polling unit of Amaechi located at his father’s compound.
