The family of the late foremost Yoruba writer and pioneer author of ‘Ogboju Ode Ninu Igbo Irunmale’ and four other imaginative books, D O Fagunwa, on Wed, the 7th of Dec, 2016, held a Communion Service, at St Luke’s Anglican Church,Oke-Igbo,Ondo State, to mark the 53 years of his passage.

Late Fagunwa died at the bank of River Wuya, near Bida, in present day Niger State, on his way back to Ibadan, from a working visit to Kano. He was buried on the 10th of Dec, at the St Luke’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Oke-Igbo.

The widow, Mama Elizabeth Adebanke Fagunwa and the son, Dipo Fagunwa, also formally, launched a book, “Of Rusts and Gold ( Snippets of History )”, written by Hon Femi Kehinde. The book has a chapter on the life and times of D.O.Fagunwa.
