Steer clear of DSC Tech School, Delta community tells Indian firm

By Perez Brisibe

THE people of Udu, in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, yesterday warned the management of Premium Steel and Mines Limited, PSML, to steer clear of Delta Steel Company, DSC, Technical High School and focus on the steel production of the company.

The community is also demanding the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, AMCON who sold DSC to PSML to define the position of the company, instruct them to resuscitate DSC for which PSML bought the company and define who owns DSC Technical School.

Making their position known in a statement by the Otota of Udu kingdom, Chief Sam Odibo, the community said: “As we speak, not one item has been moved around towards the production of steel in DSC within two years of their presence.

“Rather, all of their energies have been directed towards the possession of the Technical High School where they own nothing. We are infuriated beyond tolerance as AMCON has refused to tell us the extent of documentation it entered with PSML claiming that the deal is private.”
