Potential is in its fourth edition and the head of CDF, Amaja Awogu, says she is inspired by its growing success and the modest contribution it has brought to bear in developing many of the participants.

“Potential started in December 2012 and, during the first edition, we had some outstanding female boxers one of whom is now on scholarship with the Lagos State Government. In the last edition, one of our sponsors also picked up another good talent for scholarship”.Among the child mentors involved.

In the programme are Olympian and Commonwealth boxing medalists, Jerry Okorodudu, Adura Lanlehin and Obisia Nwankpa.

The project also enjoys the support of leading cable television company, Supersport.
