Owerri—A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Jonathan Ezenwoke, was, yesterday, prevented from celebrating Sunday mass at his parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel, at Imerienwe in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.
Trouble started when the gate of the Church was collectively locked by different societies in the Church, calling for “the removal of the priest.”
They alleged that they were uncomfortable with the policies introduced by Fr. Ezenwoke, and that such were “strange” to them.
Meanwhile, when Vanguard called the priest, he said: “Please go and meet the Archbishop,” and he then hung up the phone.
