An Igbo group, Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria, NCSN, yesterday in Lagos, marked the posthumous 112nd birthday of late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the Owelle of Onitsha, with a call on President Muhammadu Buhari to complete the former President’s mausoleum.

The event, which held in Lagos, was chaired by Chief Charles Udo Udeogaranya, President of NCSN, while the Vice President of the group, Dr. Valentine Ngonadi, featured as special guest speaker.

In his opening remarks, Chief Charles Udo Udeogaranya said: “If we fail to appreciate and recognise those who selflessly served Nigeria with everything in them, I dare to say none of us will surpass their achievements for Nigeria.

“I, therefore, urge President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that Zik’s Mausoleum is completed so that the sage will be happy wherever he is.”
