Release my husband or take him to court, Delta woman begs DSS

By Perez Brisibe

UGHELLI—THE wife of the Publisher of an Ughelli-based tabloid, Ughelli Times Magazine, has cried out to the Department of State Services, DSS, and the Federal Government to release her husband, Mr. Daniel Ekuigbo.

She said he was arrested on October 25 at his Ughelli residence by a team of DSS officials from Asaba.

Speaking to Vanguard yesterday at Ughelli, his wife, Bridget, while exonerating her husband of whatever charges he is being held for, appealed for his immediate release or that he be charged to court.

Giving detail of how her husband was arrested, she said: “They forcefully entered our house, confiscated his phones, his recent magazine publications and his laptop and took him away in a convoy of three cars.

“Since he was arrested, we have not been able to get access to him and do not know what he is being held for. Besides, we wonder why he is yet to be charged to court despite being in the custody of DSS for the past three weeks.”
