Korean 2002 World Cup hero, Ahn Jung-hwan has warned group B top runners, Argentina and Nigeria to expect a fight from South Korea when hostilities begin at the South Africa 2010 world cup.
Ahn whose golden goal sent Italy packing from the 2002 Korea/Japan world soccer showpiece was named in the 30 man provisional team selected by caoch Huh Jung-moo and could be handed a role in the May 16 friendly with Ecuador.

South Korea fans view Ahn as their David Beckham.
He cemented his place as a national idol during South Korea’s barnstorming run to the semi_final of the 2002 World Cup and also found the net at the 2006 finals in Germany.
The 34_year_old, now playing for Chinese side Dalian Shide, was named with several European_based players including captain Park Ji_sung of Manchester United, Park Chu_young of Monaco and Bolton’s Lee Chung_yong.
The China_based forward, who played his last game for South Korea in a World Cup qualifier two years ago.
South Korea face Greece in their opening Group B match on June 12 before playing Argentina and Nigeria.
