ONITSHA—Hearing of the suit filed against the suspended National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Ike-Oye, seeking to stop him from parading himself as the National Chairman has been fixed for Monday, November 7.

The suit, filed at Federal High Court 4, Abuja, and to be presided over by Justice Hussein Baba was instituted by the party’s Acting National Chairman, Ozo Nwabueze Okafor, and with APGA as plaintiffs/applicants, while Dr. Ike-Oye, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu and Uchenna Okogbuo are defendants.

The fixed date for the hearing of the matter followed enforced service of a summons, Monday, on the suspended Chairman and his group, who were alleged to have been evading service.

In a motion ex parte, the plaintiffs/applicants are seeking an order of interim injunction restraining Dr. Ike-Oye, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu and Chief Uchenna Okogbuo, from further parading themselves as the National Chairman and National Deputy chairmen (North and South) of APGA, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice already pending before the court.

One of the lawyers to Okafor and APGA , Mr. Samuel Akpenpuun alleged that the defendants, in utter disregard for the National Working Committee, usurped its responsibility by solely ratifying the party primaries for governorship and other elective positions in Kogi, Edo, Bayelsa, Borno and Abia states.
