A suspected member of a burglary gang that specialised in breaking into residential buildings, when owners are away has been arrested at the Low Cost Housing Estate, Oke-Afa Isolo.
Surprisingly, the suspect, identified as Michael Oshoarin, was discovered to be residing in the same estate during preliminary investigation.
Oshoarin, as gathered, scaled the fence of a bungalow on White Street, Sunday, while its occupants were away.

He was alleged to have stolen some phones and lap tops.
However, on his way out, the owner of the building returned and the suspect reportedly scaled the fence into another compound.
The owner of the building where he landed raised an alarm, which alerted other residents.
Oshoarin was apprehended and was at the verge of being lynched, but for the intervention of one of the Community Development Association chairmen, who whisked him to Bucknor Police post under Ejigbo Division.
A resident, who gave his name as Omoake, said: “When we asked him where he came from, he said he lives down NEPA in the same estate. He also confessed that he belongs to a gang of robbers which members operate on Sundays.”
In his confessional statement to the Police, Oshoarin said: “My members usually surveyed buildings on Sunday morning, when majority of the occupants would have gone to church.
“At times, we also operate on week days, while the occupants would have gone to work. We don’t operate while the occupants are at home because we are not armed.
“During our survey, we would look out for buildings which have their keys locked from outside, as this usually gave us the impression that there is no one at home.”
