As part of activities to   mark World Diabetes Day, Healthways Communication Nig. Ltd, publisher of Health Online, in partnership with Rainbow Specialist Hospital is offering free blood glucose screening for journalist in Lagos.

During the exercise which is being led by an endocrinologist, Dr. Afoke Isiavwe, and takes place  1st week in November 2016,  useful tips on the prevention and management of diabetes will be provided.

In a statement, the Publisher,  Health Online, Mr. Sam Eferaro, said that in solidarity with International health bodies to draw attention to the escalating health threat posed by diabetes worldwide, the free screening is being carried out.

He said November 14 is set aside globally to mark World Diabetes Day, Rainbow Hospital medical term will be on ground to screen the staff, followed by a media roundtable,  November 8, during which  experts, people living with diabetes and senior media professionals will discuss ways Nigeria can overcome the looming diabetes epidemic.
