Chibok Girls:  Nigerian Envoy lauds FG

Johannesburg – Nigeria`s Consul-General in South Africa, Amb. Uche Ajulu-Okeke, has commended the Federal Government for the release of 21 Chibok girls abducted since 2014.

Okeke said in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Saturday that government`s move had restored hope and confidence that the remaining girls would soon regain their freedom.

“Since the release of the 21 girls was announced, I have received several calls, messages from different parts of the world commending the Federal Government. I will convey same to the government.

“Nigerians in South Africa are very happy with the development and it is our prayer that government continues in its efforts to release the remaining girls,” she said.

Okeke also called on Nigerians to support the Federal Government`s efforts in ensuring security of lives and property in the country.

The Ambassador assured that the Consul would continue to cater for the welfare of Nigerians resident on South Africa.
