YENAGOA—A Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has adjourned till November 28, for the resumed hearing in the suit against the Implementation Committee of the Presidential Amnesty Programme and the Federal Government over their non-inclusion in the amnesty programme.

The aggrieved ex-militants, Asenekir Oyile, Angiama-Owei Oyindoubra, John Government, John Sawyer, Trydy Okpeke, Dollar Motor, Selebi Ayowei, Bobra Angese, Henry Gomeromo and Ekerebi Ombe in the suit had claimed that the Amnesty Committee erred by refusing to include them in the ongoing amnesty programme after series of resolutions from meetings with the past National Security Advisers to the President, including late Gen Owoye Azazi and Col. Dasuki Sambo (retd) respectively.

At the sitting, yesterday, the trial judge, Justice H. Nganjiwa, after being told that the option of out court settlement partied explored had been bungled by the Amnesty office under Brig. Gen. Paul Boroh (retd), ruled that the court will resume hearing on pending preliminary objection of the first defendant to the suit.

Justice Nganjiwa adjourned the suit to November 28, after he was told by K. Seriki, counsel of the plaintiff/claimant, that the offer of out of court settlement opened to the parties was bugled by the first defendant.
