By BLESSING AKPORUGHE

Boff & Company Insurance Brokers Limited has said that it will donate an Information and Communication Technology room to Ibadan Boys High School to mark its 25th Anniversary to enable students of the school be computer literate from a young age.

Chairman of the company, Mr. Babajide Olatunde-Agbeja who stated this in Lagos during a media parley, noted that the company over the past few years kicked into the development of the young ones in the society by supporting educational programs, health related projects and sport events.

He said, “It is our believe that in future, our impact will be felt better as the company improves.”

Olatunde-Agbeja said that in the last 25 years, the company has been able to build a brand that is famous for efficiency, professionalism and personalized service. “Our clients have come to anticipate no less. One content customer will be a suitable salesman for a company than daily advertisement leading to the spending of a huge amount of money. Processing of claims has been maid totally stress free in Boff & Company,” he stated.

“All our technical staff members undergo trainings both locally and internationally on continuous bases as insurance broking is not easy to comprehend by the public. So we educate all those we come in contact with about the need to insure through a good broker at all times.”

Olatunde-Agbeja said that going forward, he believes that the use of insurance brokers to place all insurance in Nigeria will be passed into law which will be a huge advantage to the insurance public.

He said, “Many complaints have reached my ears from people during claims processing that their settlement offer were not satisfactory. Using an insurance broking firm guarantees you a good analysis of your portfolio, processing of your renewal and claims handling/settlement. This will be similar to what obtains in the stock market where shares can only be purchased through a stock broker.”

Olatunde-Agbeja said, “From inception we aimed to provide personalised service to carve a niche for ourselves. At that time, the insurance broking sector had a few large companies and many small sole proprietorship companies. We set out to employ trainable officers who will continue to study insurance and add value to the company. We believe that if we could be professionals in our services, our company will do well.”
