The closing ceremony of 6th annual edition of the on-going U-15 Henry Ajomale Cup football competition comes up on Sunday, October 9, at the Campus Mini Stadium in Ajele area of Lagos.
The competition, which kicked off about two weeks ago, is featuring teams from different parts of Lagos. According to the chief host, Chief Henry Ajomale, he undertook to sponsor the yearly event as part of efforts to discover soccer talents.

Ajomale, who is the Chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC, in Lagos State, disclosed that the annual competition has produced talents some of whom are playing professional soccer outside the country.
“Our aim through this tournament, which is being organized in conjunction with the Lagos State Grassroots Soccer Association, is to encourage the development of soccer at the grassroots.
Nigeria is a country blessed with abundant youths who possesses excellent soccer skills, our aim through this tournament is to help discover these talented youths with a view of turning them into stars who can now become an asset to their fatherland”, he declared.
