Abuja—Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, yesterday, said it had lifted the force majeure, on gas supply to Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG, export complex.
It will be recalled that the force majeure was earlier announced on August 8, after report of leak on the Eastern Gas Gathering System, EGGS-1, pipeline, used to deliver majority of its gas to the NLNG facility, located on Bonny Island.
According to the company’s spokesman, the leakage was found by a joint investigation team comprising community people, regulatory agencies and SPDC representatives who noted that hole was drilled by unknown persons.
