YENAGOA—THE Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a cultist known as Fela over alleged involvement in the June killing of a National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, James Onuh, in Obele, a suburb of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

Contacted on the development, the spokesman of the state Police Command, Asinim Butswat, while confirming the arrest of Fela, said he could not confirm if he was the one who killed the NYSC member.
It will be recalled that James Onuh, a Civil Engineering graduate of University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, serving with Bayelsa State Ministry of Works, was killed in June by gunmen suspected to be cultist in Obele, a suburb of Yenagoa, the state capital.
Meanwhile, about two persons were feared killed in Egita community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government of Rivers State, during a clash between two cult gangs in the area, causing panic.
A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Vanguard that the cultists had clashed on Sunday night in a battle for supremacy.
