In their petition by their community President General, Mr. Etaga Ogaga, Spokesman, Mr. Michael Okpone and Chairman of Elders –in –Council, Andrew Ikrechero, they are also asking the court to validate two clauses which the monarch allegedly expunged from the constitution of the community, moment before he implemented it in 2014.

In an affidavit deposed to by Andrew Ikrechero,  in support of the suit, the community averred that, “Our monarch has not disclosed to us the position of the community’s savings and current accounts since he ascended the throne 18 years ago and we want him to do so by the order of this court.

“Aside, he expunged two clauses from our constitution before he implemented it in 2014 which we want this court to validate. These clauses touched on the issues of extra-judicial killings that are rampant in the community till date and we want the traditional ruler to abide by the constitution so that he does not become a dictator.”
