Sapele — Following paucity of funds, the authority in Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State, yesterday, sacked its advert/bill board contractor, Benches Consult Ltd, over what it described as nonchalant attitude on its part to promptly and effectively recover advertisement and bill board rates for the council.

In a letter to contractor, by the chambers of J. Y. Odebala & Co., in Sapele, on behalf of the council, the contractor’s appointment as tenement rate collector was equally relieved of its duties on the same ground.

The letters by one A. B. Odiete, said  “Your appointment as bill board, advertisement and tenement rate collector to the council is hereby terminated with effect from December 31, 2016.”
