Lagos partners stakeholders over youth development

The Lagos State government is set to synergize its relationship with some non-governmental organisations and other youth service providers in the state with a view to maximizing the gains secured towards rapid development of youth in the state.

A statement by Mrs Adeola Olabisi, of the ministry, the  commissioner for youths and social development, Mrs Uzamot Akinbile-Yussuf made the disclosure during the 2nd Youth Stakeholders Forum with the theme: “Youth Development, Challenges and Opportunities,” held at the Onikan Youth Centre, Onikan.

The Commissioner, in her keynote address, said the forum is aimed at outlining challenges facing the youth and to discuss practicable solutions that can help in investing in the future of the young people in the society.

She emphasized that the objective of the forum is to provide opportunity for government and NGOs, to work as a team in promoting youth development and also provide opportunity for NGOs to partner with each other for youth development in order to reach out to more youths in Lagos.
