Founder  of Silverbird Galleria, Senator  Murray-Bruce, has said his companies will out-live Assets Management Company of Nigeria that took over his companies for N11 billion debt owed to banks that were sold to AMCON.

In a reaction to the development yesterday he said in a statement posted on his Twitter handle“ today’s development was not necessarily unusual for a company that had been in existence for over three decades. In 36 years, Silverbird has grown and like anybody, it will face challenges. Tough times do not last. But we, as tough people, outlast them.”

Sen. Bruce, who said he was on an international flight when officials of AMCON took possession of Silverbird Group’s  property in Lagos, Abuja and Port-Harcourt in the early hours of Thursday, added that his businesses would soon be back in operation. “I have been on an international flight and have only just landed,” Murray-Bruce said, adding, “the situation is being resolved and things will be back to normal.”
