AS the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA and other militant groups continue to attack oil facilities in the Niger Delta region, President of Niger Delta Youth Association, Comrade Victor James, Saturday, urged the Federal government not to negotiate with the new militant groups, describing them as criminals masquerading as stakeholders in the oil rich region.

James who stated this while chatting with newsmen, however said; “Resource control and compensation of environmental degradation will not only sustain peace in Niger Delta but promote equality, utilitarianism, proper accountability propelled by true federalism and inclusion.

“We would like to propose that we take advantage of the influence we have amongst the local community to further raise awareness and campaign on behalf of the Niger Delta.

“In addition to the recent peace keeping campaigns we have been involved with in London, we are also in the process of organising further events on an international scale.

“we are calling on all Niger Delta stakeholders to meet in London, so we could iron out the current situation in the region ahead of the international platform”.

“The Association of Niger Delta youth controls the entire region and is the vehicle for peace building in the Niger Delta region”.
