Bauchi—ABOUT seven persons died, while two others sustained injuries, in a motor accident along Bauchi-Jos Road.

The accident, according to the spokesperson of Bauchi Zonal Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Corps Commander, Daniel Sayi, involved a Dangote truck with number plates TYW 24 XA and a Peugeot J5 pick-up, with number plates ALK 165 XA.

He said that the truck collided with the pick-up at Dungal village, killing the seven people on the spot.

The Corps Commandant added that a rescue operation was carried out by FRSC personnel at the accident scene.

He said that the bodies have been deposited at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH, mortuary, while the two injured are receiving treatment.
