THERE could not  have been a more befitting final of the 2016 Zenith Bank Women Basketball League than what is on offer today at the indoor sports hall of the national stadium Lagos as the defending champions, Dolphins Basketball of Lagos square up against former champions, First Bank of Lagos.

The match up is ideal as the two sides have brushed aside all oppositions and emerged as worthy finalists. Fans will be thrilled as the girls on both sides are experienced and grounded in the game and will leave no stone unturned in ensuring victory goes their way.

The defending champions will have to do a lot, technically speaking to stop the fire power of the First Bank ladies, particularly the versatile Upe Esther Atosu, captain Chioma Udeaja and Magdaline Ukato.

But Dolphins are equal to the task as the forceful play of the likes of Juliet Currency, Patience Okpe and Nadege Kodjo.

Coaches Peter Ahmedu of First Bank and Ochuko Okorogwu of Dolphins know what is at stake and they will ask their players to do the needful as any slip could spell doom for their teams.
