LOKOJA—WIFE of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Mrs. Rashida Bello, has distributed not less than 500 delivery kits to pregnant women in the state in a bid to reduce maternal mortality.

The governor wife’s gesture which was part of the activities marking her birthday also shared some gifts item and donated financial assistance to some schools, health centre and orphanage home.

Those who benefited from the governor’s wife gesture were the ARQAM Orphanage and widows home; Ideal Health Centre; Ideal Nursery and Primary School and the General Hospital, all in Okene, Okene local government area of the state.

Speaking at the ARQAM orphanage and widows’ home, Mrs Bello promised that she would use her position to assist the orphans and the lest privileged in the society.
