ASABA—GOVERNORS of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the South South, yesterday, warned party faithful against any form of violence during the party’s national convention slated for May 21 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The PDP governors are also mapping out strategy to clinch the Edo State governorship seat in the September election. Those in attendance were Senator Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta State), Mr Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Mr Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Prof Ben Ayade (Cross Rivers) and Mr Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom).
Fielding questions from newsmen after a closed-door meeting, Governor Okowa said the essence of the meeting, held at Government House, Asaba, was to enable them put their house in order ahead of the convention.
