lagos—widow of late legal luminary, Chief Mrs. Bukola Fawehinmi, has urged Nigerians to be patience with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in the midst of present hash economic reality, saying, and “Mr. President needs our prayer”.
She spoke as the Special Guest of Honour at the 78th, Posthumous Birthday programme in honour of her late husband, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, organized by Gani Fawehinmi Memorial Organisation, GAFAMORG, Lagos,
According to her, Buhari was an honest and passionate about taking Nigeria out of the woods since 16 years ago, saying “Nigerians should continue to persevere and pray for Buhari, he can do it well. Buhari means well for Nigerians and the country. Remember, he made a statement of fighting corruption and making Nigeria great again, which was pregnant with meaning.
”If my husband were alive when he made that statement, Gani would stand up single handedly to assist him without asking for a kobo as salary or incentive. But who wants to do that no one, I feel for him. I know what he is going through, although, I am not in his shoes.
”But I can imagine what he is going through, with all those around him. You know them I don’t need to mention their names, the sycophants, but the man has his thinking cap on, he does not listen to them.”
