N-Delta issues still burning  —Rep

Yenagoa—A member of the House of Representatives,  Chief Fred Agbedi, has called on the Federal Government to make more investments in the Niger Delta to fast-track the development of the region.

Speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, at the public presentation of a book titled, Cross over Journalist: Reporting the Niger Delta, written by Mr. Kola Oredipe, a Radio Nigeria staff, Chief Agbedi, said all hands must be on deck to achieve infrastructural and human capacity development in the region.

The lawmaker, who represents Sagbama/Ekeremor federal constituency of Bayelsa State in the National Assembly,  assured that he and other National Assembly members from the region would continue to agitate for better deals for the people who produce the wealth of the nation.

Agbedi, who was the chairman of the occasion, commended the author for adding to the literature of the Niger Delta by documenting his 15years active journalism experience covering the region.
