A Kado Grade 1 Area  Court, Abuja, yesterday, sentenced a 65-year-old security guard, Patrick Kalu to two months in prison for sodomy with his seven-year-old son.

The Judge, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, said that the imprisonment would serve as deterrent to others.

The convict, who resides at Dape Village, Abuja, was charged on a count charge of unnatural offence.

Kalu in his plea, asked the court to temper justice with mercy.

The convict, who claimed to be a “good Christian” attributed his disgraceful act to Devil’s work.

Prosecutor Salisu Khaleel, had told the court that one Mr. Sunday Irunagbe of same address with the convict reported the matter at the Life Camp Police Station, Abuja on March 14.

Khaleel said that the complainant reported that on March 13, he caught the convict sodomising his 7-year-old son.

According to the prosecutor, the offence is punishable under Section 284 of the Penal Code.
