ABEOKUTA—The authority of Nigerian Army has expressed concern over the ability of its men to tackle contemporary security challenges confronting the nation.

The General Officer Commanding, 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj-Gen. Hassan Edet stated this in his closing remarks at the 81 division corporal and below competition 2016 held at 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta at the weekend.

Maj-Gen Edet, whose speech was read by 59 division signal commander, Brig-Gen. Daniel Adeyemi explained that the authority of the Army was worried over the fitness and thus, organised a-one week competition for the soldiers with a view to making them fit physically and emotionally.
